AM-- Went and did Prospector with Jose and Evan at 6:30 am in order to be ready for prom. We were all very tired having it be the end of the week and all. Got lost in the dark a few times but thankfully the skin walkers were elsewhere.

PM-- Long run w/ 3*4min EZ tempo (or 4*4 if you're me and stopped to use el bano), 10 mins normal tempo, and 5 mins thresh.

Today I absolutely destroyed the run. I felt like I was going to be sick but then I thought," No I can definitely keep going so I'm just not going to barf", so then my body was like,"K sure whatever dude" And so I continued on, catching up every time I had to stop for a potty break. I then proceeded to obliterate the repeats with swagger.

But in all seriousness this run was a great confidence booster and I felt really strong despite my obstacles.

Went out to Red Hills Pkwy today for our long run. Our crew absolutely destroyed it. I remember where last year I'd barf on these runs but now it's no biggie. Shout out to Cooper for staying with our group the whole time.

Had a solid pace workout. Jose and I hit every rep perfect except for the last one (2 sec too fast). Overall really good day and my legs felt surprisingly good. Surprising because I was sore and tired yesterday.

AM-- Had a BEEAAST run out on the Hurricane Rim trail today. Very hilly and quite tiring towards the end but ultimately it was incredibly fun and gorgeous. The snow on the red rocks was just sooo amazing. Wasn't even that cold but just windy was all.

AM-- Did a normal 25 min morning run except my body was starting to freak out due to a gnarly cold I have and my legs starting to hurt.

PM-- So throughout this day my sickness kind of progressed and my legs started to hurt (2 in 1 combo deal which kinda sucked). Anyways I decided to just try running anyways and see what happened. Unfortunately at the end of the 15 min warm up my shins (tibialis anterior) and the back of my knee (popliteal fossa) started flaming up like crazy. It hurt to run and I couldn't keep up once they started the EZ tempo. So yeah I just decided to head home after that... being unable to run really stinks and I hope that this passes very quickly.

My get-back-to-running-asap plan consists of antibiotics, icing, stretching, a new pair of shoes, and getting more sleep in.

Today I iced my leg and took it easy. I'm going to going to run after school tomorrow and it should be all good I think. My overall health is improving!

Also, I stopped by the running center and picked up some absolutely fresh trainers and track spikes. I can't wait to smash this season I'm so excited

PM-- only went half an hour because my right shin decided to not work correctly. At first I thought,"I'll just tough it out like a man. That's what running's all about" but it came to a point where it would be foolish to go 80 with a lame right leg. So I used the RICE method (rest ice compress elevate) and gave my shin the doctors treatment. I'm not too worried but if I have another crappy 6 min test then I'll do something reckless and crazy. I haven't figured out what yet but it'll be wild.

AM-- Today was a solid morning run starting at 6:00 am. My legs didn't hurt really at all today! AND I got good sleep last night so that's a major plus.

AM-- weights and short run

PM-- mid distance run with 3 hill circuits. This run I felt very sluggish and brain dead. I ate too much Chick Fil A and that combined with the ACT was enough to make me feel like a bloated zombie. Overall good run. However my kick today during beast and feasts was below par so I think I'll rest up my legs tonight with some rolling and maybe an ice bath.

PM-- Nice mid distance run gettin ready for the cosmin tomorrow! This was quite a productive run actually with our crew. We established a team functional government in the space of about 40 mins or so. I'm the Director of Waste Management (I used to be the chief of trail runs but I got fired). I enjoy my job though. I know where all the porta potties are and I get rid of unnecessary crap on our team. Our nations animal is Julien and our nations plant is Tyler.
