For some reason my shins were killing me today out of nowhere. Just when we ran however. #blessed that it didn't happen on long run day.
Mon, 12 Feb 2018 07:00:00 Wed, Feb 07, 2018 http://Mychell.fastrunningblog.com/blog-02-07-2018.html
AM-- 25 mins of early morning running.

PM-- 65 mins of hilly run w/ strides*6

Today was overall pretty tiring just because I couldn't sleep well last night but other than that it was great for running.

Today I am grateful for a healthy body
Wed, 07 Feb 2018 07:00:00 Tue, Feb 06, 2018 http://Mychell.fastrunningblog.com/blog-02-06-2018.html
AM-- weights and 15 mins

PM-- Root Beer Mile

"Was it worth it? I felt like I was going to be sick but then I thought," No I can definitely keep going so I'm just not going to barf", so then my body was like,"K sure whatever dude" And so I continued on, catching up every time I had to stop for a potty break. I then proceeded to obliterate the repeats with swagger.

But in all seriousness this run was a great confidence booster and I felt really strong despite my obstacles.

95 mins 13.8 mi

Today I am grateful for all that the coaches do for us.
Mon, 05 Feb 2018 07:00:00 Sat, Feb 03, 2018 http://Mychell.fastrunningblog.com/blog-02-03-2018.html
AM-- Went and did Prospector with Jose and Evan at 6:30 am in order to be ready for prom. We were all very tired having it be the end of the week and all. Got lost in the dark a few times but thankfully the skin walkers were elsewhere.

60 mins 8.5 mi
Sat, 03 Feb 2018 07:00:00 Fri, Feb 02, 2018 http://Mychell.fastrunningblog.com/blog-02-02-2018.html
Running is fun and good for the buns

65 min 9 mi
Fri, 02 Feb 2018 07:00:00 Thu, Feb 01, 2018 http://Mychell.fastrunningblog.com/blog-02-01-2018.html
AM-- weights

PM-- Lots of things went wrong throughout the day (one of those things being me forgetting my spikes and diet crap) but I still improved by 3 meters. Not my best race today but not too shabby either. Still gonna kick trash like always
Thu, 01 Feb 2018 07:00:00 Wed, Jan 31, 2018 http://Mychell.fastrunningblog.com/blog-01-31-2018.html
PM-- Good ol green springs run today. No workout Wed so we can beast the 6 min test tomorrow! Had loads of trivia questions going around and that helped pass the time significantly.

7.5-ish mi 55 min

Today I am grateful for tasty food and nice people in my life.
Wed, 31 Jan 2018 07:00:00 Tue, Jan 30, 2018 http://Mychell.fastrunningblog.com/blog-01-30-2018.html
AM-- morning weights and short run

15 min 2 mi

PM-- Whack run around T-Bone trail I think it's called? legs a little stiff but it's cool.

50 mins 6 mi
Tue, 30 Jan 2018 07:00:00 Mon, Jan 29, 2018 http://Mychell.fastrunningblog.com/blog-01-29-2018.html
PM-- epic long run with 2*5min ez tempo, 10min tempo, and 5min thresh.

12 mi 85 mins

I had so fun on this run and it totally flew by. I'm absolutely going to destroy the track this season and long beautiful runs like these get me pumped up to compete. My shins hurt somewhat but I just gotta keep takin care of them. Sure wish our front group was bigger tho...

Today I'm grateful for the opportunity to run and my improvement over the years.

Also, here's some tantallizing and seemingly useless knowledge I learned today: the phrase, "eschew obfuscation" literally means to avoid confusion. Ironic, huh?
Mon, 29 Jan 2018 07:00:00 Sat, Jan 27, 2018 http://Mychell.fastrunningblog.com/blog-01-27-2018.html
AM-- Turkey Farm Road w/ neg split. Went solo on this one and it was my hardest run of the week. At the start of my run my hands went numb (because I'm too stubborn to pack gloves and a jacket with me for some reason smh). Overall I think I did well and had good form. Idk how quality my negative split/entire run was but I figured as long as I was pushing hard and hurting I must be doing an ok job.

72 mins
Sat, 27 Jan 2018 07:00:00 Fri, Jan 26, 2018 http://Mychell.fastrunningblog.com/blog-01-26-2018.html
PM-- phew this workout whooped my butt. This has definately been a crazy week on my legs. But as my good friend Xander once said,"pain is only weakness leaving the body to make it stronger". I had to focus on my form a lot while I was tired but I think I zoned out sometimes. But heck my legs are gonna be so shredded it won't even be funny.

50-60 mins ish? I still don't have my watch yet
Fri, 26 Jan 2018 07:00:00 Thu, Jan 25, 2018 http://Mychell.fastrunningblog.com/blog-01-25-2018.html
AM-- 15 mins after getting huge

2 mi

PM-- 62 mins of running. We figured out our new hill circuit and it's going to be dooooooooooope. My legs are getting tired as the week goes on but I laugh in the face of danger Job 5:22-24

8 mi
Thu, 25 Jan 2018 07:00:00 Wed, Jan 24, 2018 http://Mychell.fastrunningblog.com/blog-01-24-2018.html
PM-- Had the usual pace workout today except with 5*1min cv's instead of 2*(5*30secs). Beast & Feast was before as well.

Today I still felt somewhat sluggish but I met the paces easily. When our dope supergroup formed we didn't miss a single distance (jk maybe 2 but barely off). We all took turns leading and had some epic camaraderie. Stuff of legends.

Today I'm especially grateful for the support I recieved from my team after my family, my house, and my cow was shamed during 6th period. #WWBD. Also, I seriously need to fix my watch and stop copying Colton's blog.
Wed, 24 Jan 2018 07:00:00 Tue, Jan 23, 2018 http://Mychell.fastrunningblog.com/blog-01-23-2018.html
AM-- weights and morning run (15 min)

2 mi

PM-- 50 min trail run around mustang pass. I was pretty pooped and had to form check a lot. Also rolled my weak ankle but it's better now.

6 mi
Tue, 23 Jan 2018 07:00:00 Mon, Jan 22, 2018 http://Mychell.fastrunningblog.com/blog-01-22-2018.html
PM-- Furthest long run yet of track season! pickups 1-2-1-3-1-3 w/ 5 min recovery in between.

This run was super fun and went by a lot faster than expected. Towards the end I was getting pretty tired and my ankle/knees started hurting some but hey I'm comfortable with uncomfort. However I do need to roll, stretch, and ice my ankle because contrary to common belief I am only human. Anyways all of us level 4's (hehe I can say that now that's so cool) crushed it and had fun. (Except for when we waited for Jose to use the bathroom and my legs turned to rock. Only bad part)
Mon, 22 Jan 2018 07:00:00 Sat, Jan 20, 2018 http://Mychell.fastrunningblog.com/blog-01-20-2018.html
Today was a beast run! Went out to the middle of nowhere on the arizona strip and decided to take up a dirt road. It was called sunshine trailhead or something like that but due to rain and the time of day I started it was actually pretty cold and dark ); It was super muddy but I found a sick gypsum mine and a wierd tunnel/hole in the side of the hill. I'm positive we ran this trail once before actually in the summer (but last time I didn't find treasure). Anyways I had a tough week because I jumped right back in after being sick. But despite being tired and having sore legs, running has been really fun lately! It's always super rewarding now instead of just trying to survive haha. #perspectiveiskey

PM- 65 mins

So this is another new blog and I hope it actually works this time around.
Sat, 20 Jan 2018 07:00:00
